MY NAME IS...

Sandra Galindo, I am 16 years old, I am Mexican and student of the UNAM. I measure 1.61 meters. I like to listen to music, eat pizza, dogs, mathematics, blue color, superhero movies and animated movies. My favorite movie is "THE LION KING". I would like to learn English, dance "salsa" and "bachata" and travel to Paris.

The past continuous (also called past progressive) is a  verb tense  which is used to show that an ongoing past action was happening at a specific moment of interruption, or that two ongoing actions were happening at the same time.  The past continuous is formed using  was/were  + present participle . Questions are indicated by inverting the subject and  was/were . Negatives are made with  not . Affirmative :  You  were studying  when she called. Question:   Were  you  studying  when she called? Negative:  You  were not studying  when she called. Examples: I  was watching  TV when she called. When the phone rang, she  was writing  a letter. A modal is a type of  auxiliary (helping) verb  that is used to express: ability, possibility, permission or obligation. Modal phrases (or semi-modals) are used to express the same things as modals, but are a combination of auxiliary verbs and the preposition to. The modals and semi-modals in English are: 1.
